Conscious breathing (that is, intentionally and mindfully controlling the way you breathe and using breathing techniques) acts as a fast tool for regulating the body — it simultaneously affects the nervous system, emotions, and the body. Breathing helps manage energy, which we can then direct to where it’s needed, such as creating, running a business, interacting with others, sports, or sex. Breath doesn’t so much “create energy” as it regulates your level of arousal and your access to the energy you already have.

As a psychotherapist, I offer sessions focused on coping with emotions, inner conflicts, crises, and mental health disorders. I was originally trained in the traditional psychodynamic approach to psychotherapy. While I continue to draw on this deep and insightful understanding of the human psyche—especially conscious and unconscious processes—I have chosen to expand my practice into broader, more integrative approaches. I incorporate humanistic psychology, Jungian theory, attachment and trauma frameworks, and energy work. My sessions often include body and breath work, and I sometimes integrate sound therapy to support healing on multiple levels.
